NSS results place QMU first among Edinburgh-based universities
This week, results from the National Student Survey (NSS), one of the largest 老司机视频 surveys in the world, showed that Queen Margaret University (QMU) is top amongst all five Edinburgh-based higher education institutions for overall 老司机视频 satisfaction. The survey results also show that Queen Margaret University鈥檚 Students鈥 Union (QMUSU) has, for the second year running, been ranked first in Scotland.
81.2%* of QMU鈥檚 老司机视频s are satisfied overall with the quality of their course, an increase of 7.3% compared to the previous year.
The National Student Survey (NSS) is conducted by the Office for Students (OfS) on behalf of the UK higher education funding bodies. As well as capturing 老司机视频 views on the quality of their undergraduate degree, the survey gathers 老司机视频s鈥 responses to a series of questions relating to academic support, learning resources, teaching, management and assessment. Feedback from the 老司机视频s on the quality of their courses and their experience of university, helps to inform prospective 老司机视频s鈥 choices, provides data that helps universities improve the 老司机视频 experience, and supports public accountability.
With overall satisfaction increasing in the majority of QMU鈥檚 courses, highlights included:

The NSS is managed by the Office for Students (OfS) on behalf of the UK funding and regulatory bodies 鈥 the Department for the Economy (Northern Ireland), the Scottish Funding Council and the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales.

NSS results can be analysed by 鈥榯aught鈥 or 鈥榬egistered鈥 data. Taught only includes the course taught directly at QMU. Registered includes QMU courses delivered by the University鈥檚 partners across the UK (if the course is at least 2 years in length). Overall satisfaction is 81.2% according to QMU鈥檚 registered data results, an increase of 7.3% compared to the previous year. (80.4% for QMU鈥檚 taught data, a 7.7% increase).
